If a large site was allotted, Karur Stamped could be postponed: Hema Malini

Chennai, 30 September (IANS) A fact-delegation from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by BJP MP and actor Hema Malini, visited Karur on Tuesday, on September 27, September 27, to assess the circumstances around the tragic stampede, who claims 41 lives for Tamilga Weeturtry Kazagam (TVK).

The team met the families of the victims and the injured before addressing the media.

Hema Malini, what she had seen was seen, said that disaster could be stopped. The authorities had provided a big place for Vijay’s program.

“For a star of her height, it was unfair to give just a small road for such a large crowd. Many women and young girls came to see Vijay. If a large place was allotted, it would not have been a tragedy,” she said.

The actor-royalty stressed that the team had collected accounts by hand before the site and the remaining people.

“We met the affected people and heard their pain. In the political history of Tamil Nadu, such a large -scale accident is unprecedented.

TVK had sought a little big place, but the government should have given it, “he said.

Former Union Minister and NDA Facting Team member Anurag Thakur echoed his sentiments and demanded accountability from the Tamil Nadu government and police.

“When we went to the site, we could not control our feelings. A place that could not catch 300 people, was designed to host thousands of people. The government should interpret the role of the police and what happened,” he said that the NDA team of MPs would present a detailed report to BJP National President JP Nad within a week.

Thakur also suggested that a judge of the Supreme Court should conduct an independent investigation.

Part of Vijay’s rapidly growing political movement, the 27 September rally at Velusmipuram, Karur, became fatal, when a large crowd was carried forward, which began with insufficient space and power dissolution between anarchy.

Most of the victims were women and children, who were crushed in a ruckus. The tragedy has provoked a political storm in Tamil Nadu, in which the ruling DMK has accused his response and negligence while defending the opposition parties.

Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced a judicial inquiry under the leadership of retired Justice Aruna Jagadisin and promised security guidelines for future political programs.
