Idris Elba described the making of his waxwork in London Madame Tussauds As both “unreal” and “amazing”.
The first figure of the 53-year-old Hackney-born star at the Baker Street attraction is wearing a long-sleeved suit, replicating the outfit he wore to meet the King in July 2024.
Completing the look are the patents Christian Louboutin Costume shoes, personally donated by Elba for the performance.
He said: “It’s a real honor to be recognized in this way and it’s even more special to know that this second version of me will be standing in London.
“So, even when I’m away, a part of me is always at home.”
Elba, best known for his roles as Stringer Bell Wire And as a TV detective lutherHas been involved with the cast of Attractions for months, and calls the process “fascinating.”

He said: “It’s no different from preparing for a role in a film – working with talented actors to flesh out the character, getting the costume just right, but this time it’s for me.
“It’s really surreal to see another version of me standing at Madame Tussauds London, it feels like a full circle moment.”
Elba has most recently been seen on screen in the post-apocalyptic thriller a house of dynamiteand disney’s family film zootopia 2,
The actor was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016 for his services to drama.

He is also the face behind the Don’t Stop Your Future campaign, launched in 2024, which aims to raise awareness of serious youth violence and knife crime in the UK.
Alba has met with the king twice to discuss the matter and create positive opportunities for youth.

Elba’s wax figure stands in the attraction’s awards party area, joining celebrities such as Gillian Anderson, Timothée Chalamet, Harry Styles, Zendaya and Lady Gaga.
