Authorities did not cite any criminal history with Bozovic’s arrest.

“Radule Bozovic violated our country’s laws and lived in the United States illegally for 10 years – what kind of police department gives illegal aliens badges and guns to criminals? It is also a crime for aliens to possess firearms. A law enforcement officer is actively breaking the law,” Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

He said, “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE is restoring law and order. Criminal illegal aliens have no place in our communities, especially in our police forces.”

With news of the arrests, DHS criticized Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, writing that the Democrat “not only allows illegal aliens to terrorize Illinois communities, he also allows them to work as sworn police officers.”

The internet was divided over the officer’s arrest, with some accusing ICE of targeting working taxpayers and not criminals.
