Abdullah and Peepal Democratic Party (PDP) are engaged in a war of words on X, when Mufti questioned the CM’s stand on the Indus treaty, Abdullah attacked him and accused him that he was trying to “sit some people”.
He maintained his stand against the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) and said that it was the “biggest historical betrayal” for the interests of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah argued that the “inappropriate treaty” is not in the form of “warming”, but not about improving.
“What is really unfortunate, is that to try to score cheap propaganda with your blind lust and please some people sitting beyond the border, you refuse to accept that IWT has been one of the biggest historical betrayals of the people of J&K. I have always opposed this treaty.” Answer to Mufti on X.
Earlier, Mufti launched a scary attack on a call against Omar Abdullah on a call for the revival of the Tulbul Navigation Project, labeled the demand as “irresponsible and dangerous stimulating”.
He said that such statements were “dangerously stimulating”, given that the two countries have gone away from the verge of a “full war”, in which the people of Jammu and Kashmir are the brunt of destruction.
Abdullah advocated the revival of the Tulbal Navigation Project, given that IWT was suspended after the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April. (AI)
