“I tender my resignation as Managing Director and Director of Hyundai Motor India Limited (the ‘Company’) before the close of business hours on December 31, 2025 as I am returning to South Korea to take up a strategic role at Hyundai Motor Company,” Kim said in his resignation letter dated October 14, 2025.
Kim also resigned from roles including chairman of the board and general meetings, chairman and member of the risk management committee, and key managerial personnel.
Hyundai Motor India said shareholders have approved the appointment of Tarun Garg as managing director and chief executive officer with effect from January 1, 2026.
Along with Kim’s resignation, three senior management personnel also resigned effective December 31, 2025: Jeongik Lee, Function Head – Corporate Affairs; Hyeong Soon Yoon, Function Head – Product Strategy & Planning; and Jay Van Reu, Function Head – Corporate Planning.
