Now, the car has passed the 1 million sales milestone, making it one of the best-performing models in the series.

The brand, while confirming the news through an official release, said the Creta is appreciated by Indian customers for its attractive road looks, performance, cutting-edge technology and best-in-class safety in the segment.

Commenting on this achievement, Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of the company in India, said: “Hyundai CRETA has been a brand that has captured the hearts of Indian consumers, allowing India to ‘live the SUV life’ and is now driving on Indian roads. With over one million CRETA units sold, the ‘CRETA’ brand reaffirms its heritage as the undisputed SUV.”

Additionally, he also expressed his views on the updated Hyundai CRETA. He said: “Since its launch, the car has received an overwhelming response from customers, with bookings exceeding 60,000. We are very grateful to our customers for their love and trust in CRETA.”

Most recently, the vehicle underwent a major makeover last month. Prices for the updated model start at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

It offers a variety of powertrain options. The list includes the trusty 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine and the latest 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine.
