Hyundai Creta sales cross 1 million unit mark, here is what the brand says about Milestone

Ever since its entry into the Indian market, Hyundai Creta has undoubtedly received an overwhelming response from consumers. From making a huge contribution to overall sales to bringing profits to the brand, this mid-size SUV has done it all. Now, the car has passed the 1 million sales milestone, making it one of the best-performing models in the series.

The brand, while confirming the news through an official release, said the Creta is appreciated by Indian customers for its attractive road looks, performance, cutting-edge technology and best-in-class safety in the segment.

Commenting on this achievement, Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of the company in India, said: “Hyundai CRETA has been a brand that has captured the hearts of Indian consumers, allowing India to ‘live the SUV life’ and is now driving on Indian roads. With over one million CRETA units sold, the ‘CRETA’ brand reaffirms its heritage as the undisputed SUV.”

Additionally, he also expressed his views on the updated Hyundai CRETA. He said: “Since its launch, the car has received an overwhelming response from customers, with bookings exceeding 60,000. We are very grateful to our customers for their love and trust in CRETA.”

At the same time, this technology-rich product landed in the Indian market in July 2015 and has since become one of the first choices for customers in this market segment. Over the years, the company has tried to meet demand by improving its SUVs.

Most recently, the vehicle underwent a major makeover last month. Prices for the updated model start at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

It offers a variety of powertrain options. The list includes the trusty 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine and the latest 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine.
