A woman whose husband’s cremation was organized by a funeral home at the center of a major police investigation has told Sky News she feels “really numb”.
Previously, the police said they were investigating “truly horrific event” at Traditional Independent Funeral Directors.

After her husband Carl, 42, died in November last year, Louisa Millington arranged for his cremation at the funeral home.
She told Sky News: “It was like being stuck in sinking mud, to be honest.
“Like, even though I lost Carl, I just feel like I’m still trudging along and just waking up day after day and you’re still waiting to find out what’s going on.
“I couldn’t cry, I couldn’t be angry. I just felt really numb. I just didn’t know what to think. I really didn’t know.”
At this time, it is unclear who in the community may be affected by this case.
Hullwest and Hessle MP Emma Hardy said: “I think people are shocked at the moment.
“I think they were devastated … devastated by what happened.
“We can’t answer all of people’s questions at this time.
“People are shocked, they’re upset, they’re shocked, they’re hurt, and it’s just a sense of how could this happen, how could this happen in our community.”
Two people – a 46-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman – Arrested Alleged obstruction of lawful and dignified burial, fraud by misrepresentation and fraud by abuse of position.
They have since been released on conditional bail and inquiries continue.
Humberside Police said more than 120 officers were working on the case, reflecting the “size and scope of the investigation”.

In an update Tuesday afternoon, Deputy Chief Dave Marshall and Assistant Chief Tom McLaughlin said they were conducting an “extensive investigation” in a “long” and “complex” investigation.
