He said: “When we became aware of the registration, we have approached the owner of the business because the intention registration represents an overlap with our trademark.
“As an international fashion company, we need to take measures to protect our existing trademark rights like any other corporation. These measures apply to both our brand, boss and hugo.”
He explained that the firm “goes only to third parties where we have an overlap with existing trademark rights, and as we always seek a dialogue in favor of a cordial solution for both sides”.
