one investigation Launched after a huge effort fire ripped up a popular northeast at the amusement park boxing day.
Emergency services were called to the Hanauma Bay attraction at Ocean Beach Amusement Park south shields Friday night around 7pm. The park has about 40 rides, attractions and arcades and is located 12 miles east. Newcastle city center.
Crews worked throughout the night and left the scene at around 3.30am on Saturday morning.
Tyne and Wear Fire Service (TWFS) said in a statement that the cause of the fire could not be determined but would investigate. A police spokesman said this was not considered a malicious act.

Dramatic images showed thick smoke billowing from the amusement park and a large area engulfed in flames. Fire crews were working to put out the blaze, which blocked several local roads on Friday night.
Police cordons remained in place on Saturday morning, local media reported.
TWFS said in a statement that it had now left the scene and would “support partner agencies” in the investigation.
A spokesman said: “Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue crews attended a fire in the Sea Road area of South Shields last night.”
“We had six fire engines, specialist equipment and three police officers on scene at the height of the incident. The incident ended at 3.30am and all equipment has now left the scene.
“We will support our partners in their investigation into this incident but at this time we are unable to confirm the cause.”
They added: “We would like to thank Northumbria Police and North East Ambulance Service for their assistance during this challenging incident. “
Police and ambulance services were also at the scene. It was unclear if anyone was injured.
Northumbria Police told independent Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing, but it is not believed to be a malicious fire.
A police spokesman said: “We were alerted by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service at around 6.40pm on Friday 26 December to reports of a house fire on Sea Road, South Shields.
“Emergency services attended the scene and the fire was extinguished in the early hours of today (Saturday).
“Officers assisted the fire service in setting up a small cordon and a number of nearby roads were cordoned off, however these are now closed. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing and are not believed to have been a malicious act.”
“A report will be submitted to the Health and Safety Executive for his consideration.”
