House impeaches Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Mike Johnson | N18V | The U.S. House of Representatives narrowly voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, making him the first in nearly 150 years A cabinet member facing impeachment. Many Republicans blame Mr. Mayorkas for the unprecedented influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. The House voted 214-213 to pass the measure after an attempt last week failed.
