The hospital where the Princess of Wales was treated in January has reportedly launched an investigation into allegations that staff attempted to access her private medical records.
At least one staff member was allegedly arrested while trying to access royal notes, According to the Mirror.
Kate Underwent abdominal surgery at London clinic in January – She has not attended any public events since, with suggestions she is expected to return to royal duties around Easter.
A spokesman for the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) said on Tuesday: “We can confirm that we have received a report of the breach and are assessing the information provided.”
Hospital bosses are said to have contacted Kensington Palace after the apparent breaches came to light.
The clinic declined to comment on the claims but told the newspaper: “We firmly believe that all of our patients, regardless of their status, deserve complete privacy and confidentiality of their medical information.”
Kensington Palace said: “This is a matter for the London Clinic.”
