Honor MagicBook Pro 16 official trailer confirms MWC 2024 release

The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 will launch later this year with updated hardware. The Honor MagicBook Pro with a 16.1-inch display was originally launched in 2020 with different CPU options. With the 2024 update, the laptop is expected to come with upgraded specifications, including a more powerful processor. The company has teased that it will launch an updated version of the Honor MagicBook Pro model during the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The new model is said to come with advanced artificial intelligence support features.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Honor announced that it will launch an updated version of the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 with artificial intelligence capabilities at the MWC 2024 event, which will be held from February 26 to February 29. “Hey SAM and MAC, with Magic, connect them all in one step,” the trailer reads, taking a dig at competing brands Samsung and Apple, claiming the upcoming model is “smarter” than similar products on the market.It also teases Magic-link functionality claim Connect smartphones, tablets, and PCs for seamless display mirroring, file sharing, and more.

The company didn’t reveal the design or any key elements of the Honor MagicBook Pro 16, but hints about AI-powered advanced features suggest it could come with an Intel Core Ultra CPU. In December 2023, Intel released the Core Ultra processor with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU), which is said to improve onboard AI capabilities. Since then, leading brands like Acer, Samsung, HP, Asus, and many others have updated multiple models with these newer CPUs.

The 2020 Honor MagicBook Pro is available in multiple CPU models – AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, Intel Core i5-10210U and Intel Core i7-10510U. It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The laptop features a 16.1-inch Full HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display and comes with Windows 10 Home pre-installed.

The Honor MagicBook Pro is equipped with a 56Wh battery and is said to have a battery life of up to 11.5 hours. It supports 65W fast charging and is said to be able to charge from zero to 80% in one hour. The laptop weighs 1.7 kg and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3 USB Type-A ports, 1 USB Type-C port and 1 HDMI port.

The AMD Ryzen 5 powered Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 is priced at CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 50,400), while the AMD Ryzen 7 version is priced at CNY 5,199 (approximately Rs. 55,800). Meanwhile, the Intel Core i5 version of the laptop is priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 63,800) and the Intel Core i7 version will be launched at CNY 6,699 (approximately Rs. 71,300).
