Honor Magic Flip renderings give a glimpse of the design

Honor Magic Flip is Honor’s first clamshell foldable phone and is said to be under development. After the Honor Magic 6 series and Magic V2 series were launched during the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC), more leaks about the flip phone started appearing online. Recently, a so-called rendering appeared online, giving us a glimpse of the possible design of the Honor Magic Flip. The renders show a large display and two vertically oriented cameras.

The renders show that the Honor Magic Flip will be black and feature a larger display, similar to the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. It appears to have a dual rear camera system arranged vertically. The lower half has the Honor logo and the rear panel appears to have a vegan leather finish.

The power and volume buttons are arranged on the right side of the Honor Magic Flip. The power button is expected to double as a fingerprint scanner.

Honor has long been speculated to be entering the clamshell and foldable smartphone space. Earlier rumors suggested that the first clamshell foldable phone would be available in the first half of this year. Recently, the Chinese smartphone maker revealed the existence of a clamshell flip phone and confirmed that it will launch with a smart ring later this year. It is said to be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery. Currently, there are no other details about the flip phone.

The brand currently has book-style foldable phones such as Honor Magic VS, Honor Magic V2 and Honor Magic V. The Honor Magic Flip is expected to compete directly with the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G.
