Beirut:
Iran-backed Hezbollah said on Friday it would escalate attacks on Israel in response to the 10 Lebanese civilians killed in Israeli attacks this week and said Israel would pay a “bloody” price.
Hezbollah and Israel have been fighting on the Lebanese-Israeli border since the Gaza war broke out in October, the deadliest confrontation in nearly 20 years.
In a televised address on Friday, Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians in this week’s attacks and said Israel could have avoided killing civilians.
Said Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised speech: “The response to the massacre should be to continue and escalate the resistance work on the front lines.”
“Our women and children have been killed in these days and the enemy will pay the price in blood,” he said.
