Solapur/Dhashiv, 24 September (IANS) Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Wednesday that the government will provide assistance to farmers affected by heavy rains and floods in various parts of Maharashtra and NCP ministers, MPs, MLAs will give one month’s salary to CM Relief Fund.
He instructed the administration to rehabilitate the citizens trapped in floods at safe places, provide them food, water, electricity and medicines.
CM Pawar, who visited several villages in Solpur and Dharshiv districts affected by heavy rains and floods, said that crops like Urad, Mecca, Soybean and Tur have been largely damaged.
In addition, houses have also been damaged and livestock is lost due to floods.
He said that he has asked the administration to complete the Panchamas of all affected fields and assets.
“Today, I went directly to the fields to inspect the crops and interacted with the farmers to understand their problems and collected information about the damage done.
“I gave clear instructions that the administration should make careful plans and implement the necessary measures to ensure that immediate assistance reaches the farmers in flood-affected areas. Our government is firmly standing with our farmer brothers,” he said.
He said that he has urged producers not to lose heart as the government will provide all possible assistance. He said, “I have instructed the administration to take immediate action for immediate and compensation. I have clearly told the administration that there should be no negligence in the relief and operation of rescue operations,” he said.
He said, “Measures are being prepared to navigate the flood situation due to excessive rainfall and to ensure that the general situation has been restored in the affected villages. It is the primary responsibility of the administration to solve the difficulties of the farmers immediately. I am confident that no rest will be left in crisis,” he said.
Ajit Pawar said that the government has allocated Rs 1,339.49 crore to bring farmers back to its feet.
“From June to August 2025, approval was given in a cabinet meeting to distribute Rs 1,339.49 crore to help farmers to help in helping the damage caused to their crops and livestock due to heavy rains and floods in various districts of the state.
“In cases where agricultural crops are damaged due to natural disasters such as heavy rains, floods, and cyclones, the state disaster response fund farmers are assisted in the form of grants. In addition to the 12 natural disasters set by the central government, the state government has established a policy to provide assistance to the local disasters affected by local disasters, which have been set up, which has been heavy rain, heavy rain, heavy rain, heavy rain, heavy rain, heavy rain, light.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar announced that all NCP ministers, MPs, state assembly and council MLAs have decided to immediately donate a month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. “In this challenging period, the NCP has resolved to stand together and provide a new lease of life to the affected brothers and sisters in Maharashtra,” he said.
