Chief Executive Thomas Waldby said passengers traveling from the West London The airport’s four terminals can look forward to “the best possible start to their journeys” over the festive period.
Heathrow expects passenger numbers this month to exceed the December 2024 total of 7.08 million.
It is also predicted that the figure for Christmas Day alone will reach a new high, exceeding the 160,000 seen last year.
The airport said it was deploying a “record number of paramedics” to assist passengers, and that it had one million liters of product on hand to prevent or remove snow to keep planes running.
Mr Woldby said: “We are fully prepared to deliver an extraordinary Christmas experience, ensuring passengers enjoy the festive atmosphere at our terminals.
“Millions of passengers have enjoyed exceptional levels of service at the airport this year, and those traveling through Heathrow this December can expect the best possible start to their journey this holiday season.”
Heathrow recorded its busiest November ever with 6.63 million passengers, up 2.1% from a year earlier.
The markets with the largest percentage growth year-on-year in flights were middle east (up 15.4%) and Asia,Calm (up 6.5%).
