Chandigarh, October 10 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana’s Sonipat on October 17 to inaugurate developmental projects.
The Prime Minister’s visit will give new momentum and direction to the development of the state and strengthen the resolve of “Developed India – Developed Haryana”.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a meeting with officials of various departments here on Friday and reviewed the preparations for the Prime Minister’s program and issued necessary guidelines.
He directed that all arrangements related to the program should be made in a timely and coordinated manner.
He also reviewed the progress of the projects which are likely to be inaugurated or the foundation stone of which is to be laid.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to finalize the program schedule, route planning, security and crowd management strategy and ensure that all infrastructure and venue preparations are completed within the stipulated time frame.
The Chief Minister said that the public should not face any inconvenience in reaching the venue.
Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Haryana has made remarkable achievements in development in the last decade.
The Chief Minister said that due to the effective implementation of Central Government schemes and welfare oriented policies of the State Government, transparent administrative system promotes investment, where today Haryana is one of the leading states in the country.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s visit is not only a matter of pride for Haryana, but will also prove to be an important milestone in the development journey of the state.
“The joint efforts of the central and state governments have led to rapid development of infrastructure in the state, leading to significant growth in investment, employment and civic amenities. The Prime Minister’s visit will further strengthen the central government’s commitment to the development of Haryana,” an official statement quoting the chief minister said.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Sudhir Rajpal and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
