Abhay Chautala has demanded CBI to investigate the murder of Nafe Singh Rathi.

Indian National Lok Dal’s Haryana unit president Nafe Singh Rathi was killed this evening when unidentified persons fired at his SUV in Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district. The attack, which took place a few months before the Lok Sabha elections, is drawing sharp reactions from opposition parties, who have alleged deteriorating law and order in the BJP-ruled state. INLD leader Abhay Chautala has claimed that six months ago, Rathi had given in writing that his life was in danger but “no security was provided to him”.
“I hold the state government responsible for this because six months ago, Nafe Singh Rathi had told me that the police had informed him that his life was in danger and he could be attacked any time. I informed the SP about this. He had spoken to the SP. He had written a letter to the SP.” “Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and the DG should investigate this and provide him security, but no security was provided to him,” he claimed.
Demanding a CBI probe into the incident, Mr Chautala said, “Those who need security are not getting it, instead, those who are accused in many cases are getting it. So I am clearly responsible for this incident.” I hold the Chief Minister responsible. If someone is writing that his life is in danger, then the Chief Minister should have got an investigation done and should have provided him security. We will demand that there should be a CBI investigation and the accused should be punished.

When gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name was linked to the attack, he said it was a ploy by the government to ‘save itself’.
“The government is trying to protect itself by naming the Lawrence gang, but if what they are saying is true then why did they not provide any security,” he said.
These people came in a car and fired indiscriminately at the SUV in which Nafe Singh Rathi was travelling. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival there.
Opposition Congress and Aam Aadmi Party also attacked the Manohar Lal Khattar government over this incident.
Senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, “The news of the shooting death of INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathi in Haryana is very sad. It reflects the law and order situation in the state…Today no one feels safe in the state.” doing.” Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sushil Gupta said that ‘the rule of law has ended in Haryana and jungle rule continues.’

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has instructed the officials to take immediate action in the matter.
