Chandigarh, 6 October (IANS) led a delegation, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Monday signed six memorandum (MoU) with Japanese corporations during a visit to Tokyo.
Pacts are expected to attract an investment of Rs 1,185 crore and generate employment opportunities for more than 13,000 people.
The Chief Minister discussed with top Japanese companies. An official statement said that six treaties were signed from these engagement.
During the conversation, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation between Haryana and Japan.
He took the initiative to strengthen the partnership between small and medium -sized enterprises (SMEs) from both regions.
Highlighting the strong potential of the state in manufacturing sectors including equipment, industrial components, metals as well as motor vehicles, auto parts and electronics, the Chief Minister emphasized that the cooperation with Japan in these areas will greatly boost business development.
Chief Minister Saini also met Shimen Prefecture Governor Tatsuya Maruyama and discussed between enterprises from both regions to find out opportunities for technology exchange, innovation and joint enterprises.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister attended Haryana-Shimen Province Roadshow held in Tokyo.
Addressing a gathering of industrialists and investors, he highlighted cultural and historical relations between India and Japan for a long time.
He said, “Our relationship with Japan is behind thousands of years and lies deeply in history and shared values”.
The way Shimen province enhances its permanent traditions, Haryana is one of the most ancient and revered areas of Indian civilization.
It is the home of the holy land of Dharmakshate, Kurukshetra, where Lord Krishna gave the divine message of Bhagavad Gita. Haryana represents the essence of duty, righteousness and knowledge.
The Chief Minister said that the relationship between India and Japan is “a special strategic and global partnership, which shares commitment to deep mutual trusts, shared democratic values and cooperation”.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Japan, he said that it has further strengthened bilateral relations, Japanese industrialists and investors have promised to invest 10 trillion yens in India in the next decade.
The Chief Minister urged the Japanese businesses to channel a large part of this investment in Haryana, which highlights the state’s strong industrial ecosystem, investor -friendly environment and strategic benefits.
