Vaibhav Pandya, the stepbrother of Indian cricketers Hardik and Krunal Pandya, has been arrested by Mumbai police for allegedly defrauding around Rs 43 crore. It is learned that Vaibhav allegedly embezzled around Rs 43 crore from the partnership, causing losses to Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal. Hardik, Krunal and Vaibhav have formed a company in 2021 and as per the agreement, the two cricketers will share 40% of the profits each and Vaibhav will get 20%.

However, instead of sharing in the profits, the little-known Pandya formed a separate company and transferred business funds into it.

According to officials of the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police, Vaibhav was accused of cheating and forging documents.

It was further noted that the arrest was made after Hardik lodged a complaint against the 37-year-old man.

Meanwhile, Hardik has been in the news ever since he succeeded Rohit Sharma as captain of Mumbai Indians.

MI’s decision to remove Rohit as captain did not go down well with the fans.

As a result, Hardik received some hate from fans for it.

Hardik’s captaincy got off to the worst possible start as MI lost its first three games.

However, to Hardik’s relief, the team won the last match against Delhi Capitals.

With doubts starting to creep into the minds of players and fans after a string of defeats, Hardik admitted that a lot of minds have to be “cleared” ahead of the match against Delhi. As a result, MI gained 2 points in the league standings for the first time this season.

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Hardik had no hesitation in admitting that a lot of hard work had gone in behind the scenes in the dressing room for MI to experience their first win of the season.

“It was a lot of hard work,” Hardik said after the match. “We sorted out a lot of ideas, made sure our plans were right, our intentions were right and today was one of those days where everything went right.
