Ontario’s police guards are investigating the circumstances around the death of a 62 -year -old man in Hamilton on Friday.
According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), the police received 911 calls from a person in crisis at around 7:30 pm.
SIU said in a press release released on Saturday, “He said he had explosive equipment and a negotiator was demanded.
The officials moved beyond the residence and then a conversation with the barricade man throughout the day.
“Late in the afternoon, a drone was sent to the residence. It turns out that the man was lying on the floor, blood is visible around him,” SIU said. “The man was declared dead.”
SIU has handed over the case to two investigators and two forensic investigators.
