Gaza City:
Hamas’s chief negotiator announced on Thursday that the Palestinian terrorist group would not accept any “partial” ceasefire deal in Gaza, indicating rejection of Israeli’s latest proposal.
Khalil al-Haya said in a television statement, “Partial agreements (Prime Minister of Israel) are done by Benjamin Netanyahu as a cover for his political agenda … we will not be entangled in this policy.”
He said that the group wants “the single-package prisoner exchange in exchange for stopping war, the return of occupation from the Gaza Strip, and the reconstruction starts” in the region “.
A senior Hamas official told the AFP earlier this week that the group had received a new Israeli proposal to stop the war in Gaza.
The official said that the proposal included a trussian of at least 45 days in exchange for the release of 10 living hostages held in Gaza.
It also provides for the release of 1,231 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails and the entry of humanitarian aid in the region, which is under full blockade since March 2.
The official said that the proposal has called for a “permanent end for war” that on the condition of Palestinian groups in Gaza, including Hamas Dism, the official said.
Hamas has consistently rejected the demand for disarmament as a “red line”, described it as “non-paralysis”.
On Thursday, Haya reiterated the group’s position on the matter.
“Resistance and its weapon are bound by the presence of occupation. They are a natural right to our people, and for all those living under the business,” he said.
