Officials arrested four people on Saturday September 20 (IANS) Tripura police and suspended a police officer in connection with the recovery of the body of a woman’s half district in Gomti district of Tripura, the officials said.
Gomti district Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar said that four people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the recovery of half a burn body of a woman in Mirza in Kakarban police station area of ββthe district.
The district police chief told IANS on Saturday night, “We have suspended the Assistant Sub-Operator Sanjay Sarkar for negligence of duties in this incident.”
Chief Minister Manik Saha, who holds a home portfolio in a Facebook post on Saturday night, said a detailed investigation has been ordered in the Mirza incident.
Saha said, “All those involved in this heinous crime will be brought to justice according to the law. In this regard, four accused persons have been arrested,” Saha said.
Another police officer said that the victim’s husband, Pankaj government claimed that five youths first attacked their wife, then put petrol on her and set her on fire, after which she died due to her injuries.
The police officer said that he had registered a case in the incident and said that he would get a postmortem examination report on Sunday and after that the case would be revised with a clear position of the case.
So far, the FIR was registered as an unnatural death, the official said, saying that all the criminals are investigating with the discovery of nab.
“Under the Indian Nayya Code, 2023, more classes will be added on the basis of information received during the investigation and inquiry report,” the official said.
The woman’s husband alleged that one of the five accused is the nephew of the local BJP MLA. Prior to Friday’s incident, the Pankaj government and his wife, the mother of two children, went to Kakraban police station, to file a complaint against three persons to file a complaint and attacked them and when they were working in their shop in Mirza Market on Thursday night on last hostility.
The police refused to accept the complaint, alleging. The government said, “We returned home and slept separately as we do often. This morning, half of my wife’s half-burnt body was found on a nearby road,” the government said.
The local MLA could not be reached for a comment. The opposition Congress and CPI (M) criticized the police on the incident, alleging that they were trying to mold the accused.
District Congress President Titan Paul alleged, “Initially, the police did not register a complaint with the Pankaj government and his wife. It is a worrying thing that the couple was chased by the accused while they were returning home from the police station. It seems that the police is trying to mold the accused,” the District Congress President Titan Paul accused.
Local people said that the couple was also known as BJP members in the region. Leaders of the ruling BJP, opposition Congress and CPI (M) have visited the residence of the deceased and assured strict action, despite the identity of criminals.
