Gyanvapi case live updates: ASI has surveyed the Gyanvapi mosque complex, located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, to determine whether the 17th-century Islamic structure was built over a pre-existing Hindu temple .

Gyanvapi Case Live Updates: A Varanasi court on Wednesday (January 24) said the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey report on the Gyanvapi Mosque will be made public and both Hindu and Muslim parties will have access to it. The ASI had submitted its report on the scientific survey conducted in the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in a Varanasi court on December 19, 2023. The court had asked the ASI to find out whether the mosque was constructed over a pre-existing structure. Of a Hindu temple”

Speaking to CNN-News18, lawyer Hari Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said, “We are very fortunate to get the copy of the ASI survey,” adding that both sides will get the copy of the report by today or Thursday.

“Everyone should know what is in the ASI survey,” Jain said.

Jain said that as per the instructions of the court, hard copies of the report will be given to both the parties.
