Patna: The nine-day Guru Charan Yatra, after passing through Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, reached Patna Sahib in Bihar on Saturday, where Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri participated in the rituals of carrying the holy relic on the last leg of the yatra.
The sacred Jore Sahib of Dasham Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Khalsa Mata Sahib Kaur Ji was welcomed with enthusiasm with a march and religious procession led by the Panj Pyaras symbolizing devotion, equality and sacrifice.
Puri garlanded the Panj Pyaras and joined the Guru Charan Yatra along with his family members.

Highlighting his family’s special bond with the relic, Puri said, “Our ancestors who were in the service of Guru Maharaj were bestowed with the sacred Jor Sahib ‘Charan Suhawa’ more than 300 years ago.”
The minister said, “We handed over the holy relic to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Management Committee of Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib in Delhi on October 22. The holy relic was brought to Patna Sahib today with great enthusiasm, sanctity and enthusiasm along with the 9-day holy Guru Charan Yatra through Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.”
