Police said the dead included a 43 -year -old woman and a 17 -year -old man, while five of the 14 injured were admitted to a hospital with a teenager, including a teenager.
No one was arrested till Sunday afternoon as the police had appealed to the public for information about the shooting and sorted through a complex crime site in which many people fired on each other.

Police was called around 11:30 pm Montgomery Police chief James Graboys described as a “collective shooting”, which took place within a regular patrol of the downtown Montgomery.
“These two sides included shooting at each other in the middle of a crowd,” Greboyce said.
The shooters said, “When they did so, the people around them did not care.”
Seven The 14 of the 14 victims were under the age of 20, and the youngest were 16 years old, Graboy said. Graboy said that at least two victims were armed and shooting started when someone targeted one of the 14 victims, Graboy said.
The bullets inspired many people to draw their weapons and start firing, Graboy said.
Several weapons and shell cases were recovered from the scene, Graboy said.

It was a particularly busy weekend in Montgomery, at the Hornet Stadium that day with Alabama State University’s home returning football game, Alabama National Fair Garat Collagium and Tuski University-Morhouse College The rivalry football game just ended at the nearby Kramton Bowl.
Mayor Steven Reid told reporters that during the shooting there were police units within 50 feet (15 meters) and the shooters “had no connection for human life.”
Investigators were reviewing the monitoring video and interviewing witnesses and potential suspects.
“Whatever we include, we will do everything to gather every proof to chase it,” Graboy said.
