White Knight Corps of the Indian Army said that security forces exchanged bullets with terrorists in the Dulal area of Kishtwar on Sunday morning.
In a post on X, White Knight Corps stated that soldiers operating an intelligence-based operation established contact with terrorists in the area.
White Knight Corps said, “Indian Army soldiers carry out an intelligence -based operation, establishing contact with terrorists in the normal area of Dal in Kishtwar in the early hours of August 10, 2025. The gunfire was exchanged.”
The operation is still going on.
The encounter comes a day after two soldiers, Lance Naik Preetpal Singh and Sapoy Harminder Singh, were killed in a duty line during an operation in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. Chiner Corps paid tribute to him in view of his courage and dedication.
“Chiner Corps honored the highest sacrifice of Braveers, L/NK Pritpal Singh and Sep Harminder Singh for duty and dedication for the nation.
So far, a terrorist has been neutralized in the Kulgam operation, during a gun battle in Akhhal region about a week ago. The encounter, which continued overnight, included the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Special Operations Group (SOG).
In an earlier post, Chiner Corps said, “OP Akhal, Kulgam. Ruk -Rukkar and intense firefighters continued during the night. Alert soldiers responded with calibrated fire and tightened the nose while maintaining contact.”
Separate, on July 30, in Poonch sector, White Night Corps soldiers neutralized two terrorist operatives, who were trying to infiltrate the Line of Control. (AI)
