Surat On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Harsh Sanghi, Minister of State for Home Affairs of Gujarat, performed scripture worship at Surat Police Headquarters, praying for peace, security and security of the state on Thursday.
While marking the symbolic celebration of the victory of good over evil, Sanghvi performed rituals with police officers, emphasizing the role of law enforcement in maintaining harmony during major festivals.
Speaking to reporters, he highlighted the peaceful and enthusiastic festival of Navratri in Gujarat this year, credited to the state police for his commendable efforts.
“For the first time, Navratri was celebrated with such enthusiasm across the state, in which people were playing garba in the pandals in the early morning. The state police ensured that the celebrations were held smoothly and safely,” Sanghvi said.
He further mentioned the success of Operation Sindoor.
He said, “This year’s celebrations were special. With devotion, the spirit of national pride was clear. The armed forces effectively execute Operation Sindoor, which added another layer of meaning to the festival,” he said.
The minister commented on the economic influence of Navratri, given that small traders and vendors benefited greatly from expanded ceremonies.
Commenting on removing encroachments on government land in Godhra, Sanghvi compared the land mafia to Ravana, saying that such encroachments will be approved in the interest of public welfare.
He said, “I wish everyone a happy Dussehra. I prayed for all the people of Gujarat to fulfill their wishes.
Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, marks the culmination of the nine -day Navratri festival. It is a symbol of the victory of good over evil, reminiscent of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura. The day is considered auspicious for a new beginning and reinforces values like truth, righteousness and virtue.
