Gujarat: 6 school students die after boat capsizes in lake near Vadodara

At least six students drowned after a boat capsized in Harni Lake in Gujarat’s Vadodara on Thursday. Teachers were also with him.

The boat was carrying 27 students of New Sunrise School, however, none of them were wearing life jackets.

The state fire department has already started the operation to search for the students. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel described the incident as ‘extremely heartbreaking’.

Sharing details on the search operation, Patel wrote, “The rescue operation of students and teachers on board the boat is currently underway. The system has been instructed to provide immediate relief and treatment to the victims of the accident.
