regional Mexican The band Grupo Frontera is moving towards 2026 grammy This was followed by double nods at the Latin Grammys, with two nominations, where they competed for Best Regional Mexican Song and the collaboration with Fuerza Regida.

Although they did not win the Latin Grammy, the band said they were honored to share the category with Los Tigres del Norte, a group they consider true legends. Now, Grupo Frontera looks forward to the Grammys on February 1, where they will compete for Best Musica Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) for their EP with Fuerza Resida, “Mala Mía” and their solo EP “Y Lo Que Viene.”

These are the group’s first Grammy nominations – a remarkable feat, considering they only debuted in 2022.

The group’s vocalist and Bajo Quinto artist Adelado “Pío” Solís III said of the Grammys, “It’s something you would never think that someone who plays our genre of music would be nominated.”

The idea for an EP with Fuerza Resida came from guitarist Beto Acosta, who took inspiration from the success of his hit “Babe Dame” and other important collaborations such as Bad Bunny and J Balvin’s “Oasis”.

“Our sentiments are similar,” Payo said. “I think the chemistry is great.”

The EP was recorded in los angelesWhere the band took the opportunity to record additional material, including “Tu Favorita”, a collaboration with Fuerza Resida and Chilean artist Chris MJ, which was featured on their latest album “Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar”.

“The cool thing is they’re from Los Angeles and we’re texas,” Peyo said of the band led by Jesus Ortiz Paz. “We have a certain style that we grew up listening to… I think that was a super perfect fusion.”

Since the debut of “Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar”, Grupo Frontera has maintained their momentum with a series of surprises and releases. Recently, he attended one of Bad Bunny’s eight concerts Mexico City To display your hit “un x100to”. She also released the music video for “Besas Así” with Calle 24 and “Se Me Sel”, one of the songs from her album.

Next up for the band is a long-awaited international tour that will take them to Latin America and Europe, including stops in Bogotá, Mexico City, Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Quito, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.

The tour marks a return to the spotlight after a period of focusing on creating new music.

Payo said, “We decided to take a break because, last year, we were releasing songs we recorded on the platform.” “‘Quadette, Babe’ was actually recorded that night during a soundcheck… To be honest, we didn’t realize how much we’d miss being there.”

For “Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar” the band reunited with Mexican producer and composer Edgar Barrera, who is currently nominated for a third consecutive Grammy for Songwriter of the Year. However, at Barrera’s own suggestion, the band sought out other collaborators, including Tito Double P, Los Deries de la Sierra, Ozuna, and Myke Towers, who contributed their styles.

The new album also reflects Grupo Frontera’s new approach of allowing songs of pain to be embraced.
