Greg Tate is an American essayist, performer and producer. His work is basically about African American music and culture. He is the leader of the Caramel organization and an important figure in the Black Rock Alliance.
Tate was an artist first, learning guitar as a teenager and forming a number of groups before moving to Washington, DC.
