Greenpeace campaigners appear in court to send message to Prime Minister after scaling Sunak’s home

Four Greenpeace activists have pleaded not guilty to criminal damage to the roof of Rishi Sunak’s home in his constituency during anti-oil protests last year.

Amy Rugg-Easey, 33, Michael Grant, 64, and Alexandra Wilson, 32, in York on Thursday, March 21 He appeared at the Magistrates Court to protest against a demonstration at the Prime Minister’s Office in Kirkby Sigston, near Northallerton, on 3 August.

Mathieu Soete, 38, attended the hearing via video.

A banner reading “Rishi Sunak – Oil profits or our future?” was blocked outside the building.
