Ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) upcoming match against Kings XI Punjab (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, captain Faf du Plessis said that the M Chinnaswamy Stadium will be a “Great place to hit the ball”. Speaking on the new episode of RCB’s Matchday, Proteas batsman Du Plessis said his team is ready for the upcoming matches. “Obviously the first game was in Chennai and there was a good crowd in Chennai. Looking forward to batting here again, it’s a great place to bat and I think the boys are very eager to get started,” Du Plessis explain.
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green also spoke about the upcoming tournament and said the pitches in Bengaluru are “beautiful” and perfect for batting. The outfield is also fast, he added.
“It’s a nice batting wicket with great pace outfield. Obviously, it will be the first experience as an RCB player and I’m very excited. There’s always people screaming and shouting, looking forward to it,” Green said.
On the other hand, Anuj Rawat said that the Bengaluru side had a “bit of a rocky start” but they are ready to face Punjab.
“We were a little behind in the beginning, but that’s for sure, but after we really came together as a team, we’re looking forward to this game against Punjab,” Rawat said.
India batsman Rajat Patidar has asked his “loyal fans” to support them in the upcoming matches.
“I’m keen to play in front of loyal fans so keep supporting and keep loving it. It’s a privilege to play under the most experienced players. They’ve been playing cricket in their country for a long time. It’s great for me Said it was a good learning experience playing under them,” he added.
