Bhubaneswar, Nov 21 (IANS) Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said people have rejected the divisive and negative politics of the Congress party and its allies in the recently concluded assembly elections in Bihar.
BJP leaders and supporters gave a grand welcome to Pradhan, who was the party’s election in-charge for the Bihar Assembly elections, when he arrived at Bhubaneswar airport on Friday following the party’s massive victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Speaking to media persons, the Union Minister said that the victory of NDA in Bihar elections is a proof of the foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar for reposing their faith in the vision of PM Modi and the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar.
Pradhan further said that PM Modi has envisioned Purvodaya or the development of the eastern states of the country.
India’s development cannot be imagined without the development of the eastern states. “After being in power for 20 years, the NDA getting the opportunity to serve Bihar once again is a strong endorsement of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the NDA have managed to win the trust of the people by implementing a welfare-oriented governance system. People have rejected the politics of division and negativity practiced by the Congress party,” the Union minister said.
He also thanked the people of Nuapada assembly constituency for voting in favor of BJP candidate Jai Dholakia who won the election by a huge margin.
The Union Minister congratulated Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State President Manmohan Samal on the party’s landslide victory in the Nuapada by-election.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Agasti Behera said the grand welcome accorded to Dharmendra Pradhan at Bhubaneswar airport reflects the widespread support of the people of Odisha towards him. He said that Pradhan’s important role in BJP’s victory in Bihar elections has further strengthened his popularity.
