Government of Nagaland urged teachers who agitated to stop their stir

Kohima, September 19 (IANS) The Government of Nagaland urged the nations agitating on Thursday to close their agitation in the big interest of students to close their movement and stop their movement and return to schools, to close their movement and return to schools.

A total of 367 RMSA teachers of 2016 batch have been working in 133 schools, demanding regularization of their services for the last several days and the government has increased the profit given to its colleagues of previous batch.

A senior government official said that a high-level meeting was called on Thursday to address the long pending complaints of RMSA 2016 batch teachers, the Chief Minister and Home Commissioner, Principal Secretary of Nagaland, Abhijeet Sinha.

During the discussion at the meeting, the Principal Secretary explained the position of the government and highlighted the obstacles faced by the state government, especially with a review petition filed in the Supreme Court on the issue of implementing the salaries of the scale.

Accepting the contribution of teachers of RMSA 2016, he reminded them of the adverse effects of the agitation on the student community and reiterated the government’s commitment to resolve their concerns.

Sinha also pointed out the long nature of litigation processes and suggested discovering practical options to break the current deadlock.

In this regard, the Principal Secretary proposed the Constitution of a Committee, including the Representatives of the School Education Department, Samagra Sikh Abhiyan, Finance Department, Justice and Law, all Nagaland School Teachers Association and RMSA 2016 batch, which are to investigate the complaints in detail.

Government officials assured RMSA teachers that their submitted memorandum would be studied and placed before the Chief Minister for necessary views.

Sinha and other officials appealed to the teachers to stop their movement and return to schools in large interests of students to prevent learning and loss. The meeting has also decided to continue the dialogue and find a mutually acceptable resolution on the issue.
