Bhopal, September 27 (IANS) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired the meeting of Madhya Pradesh State Wildlife Board on Friday and discussed the progress of various wildlife projects including exchange of wildlife animals with other states.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister, who is the chairman of the State Wildlife Board, especially referred to efforts to bring Indian rhino (a horny Rhino) from Assam. He also prepared to release aquatic animals, turtles, houses and dolphins in the rivers of the state.
CM Yadav suggested that while Madhya Pradesh should be provided with wild animals to other states, it should also get species from them to further increase the biodiversity of the state.
“While tigers will be sent to neighboring states – Orissa, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh should also get wild animal species in return to further enrich the biodiversity of the state,” the Chief Minister said in a statement.
During the meeting, Yadav instructed the officials to adopt concrete measures to prevent human-pester struggles caused by wild elephants.
CM Yadav said that the rich flowers and funeral diversity of the state should be effectively promoted and branded. The prosperity of the forests of the state and the easy visibility of wildlife within them should be widely publicized.
He said, “For this, short films, documentaries and publicity capsules should be prepared to introduce the forest specialties of Madhya Pradesh in the world in collaboration with films of India, Discovery and other channels.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also approved several proposals, including 17.148 hectares of forest land in the Satpura-Melghat corridor of Khandwa and Betul districts, which were allowed for use by NHAI.
Additionally, 0.85 hectare sanctuary forest land was allotted for construction of a road from Dehgaon-Bamori village to Belgaon under the Sichori Sanctuary.
Apart from this, Padma Shri Dr. The 1.575 hectares of buffer zone land was provided to EE PWD Raisen for use to EE PWD Raisen in Vishnu Sridhar Vankankar Tiger Reserve (Ratapani Sanctuary). Approval was also given for construction work and other uses in forest land areas as part of additional proposals.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, ACS One Ashok Barnwal, PCCF VN Embed and members of several wildlife boards.
