According to a copy of the bill, it seeks to introduce the Developed India-Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) (VB-G RAM G) Bill, 2025 in Parliament and repeal the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005.
It states that the objective of the bill is “to establish a rural development framework in line with the national vision of Developed India 2047, whereby a statutory guarantee of one hundred and twenty-five days of wage employment in each financial year shall be provided to every rural household whose adult members willingly undertake unskilled manual work; to promote empowerment, development, convergence and saturation for a prosperous and resilient rural India”.

The bill has been circulated among the members of the Lok Sabha and is likely to be introduced in the House.
The winter session of Parliament, which began on December 1, will end on December 19.
