Google speaking practice feature

An X user going by the name @howfxr shared a Post on the platform which unveiled a new experimental feature to learn English speaking skills. This feature is being called “Speaking Practice” and is available as an AI-based conversation bot on Google Search. The feature is available to Search Labs users in select countries like Argentina, Colombia, India, Mexico, Venezuela, and Indonesia.

If you’re hesitant about speaking your English or want to start from scratch, this feature from Google will help you learn and gain confidence in the language. According to reports, the features are expected to provide a natural conversation experience by providing AI-powered exercises. Users can chat with the bot like a real person and it will help correct the sentences. Additionally, it will also allow users to learn new words and phrases to enhance their overall English speaking skills.

How the speaking practice feature works

Tech Crunch highlighted that Google had launched a similar feature in October last year. However, the feature provided feedback and improvements to users. The newly tested feature is more advanced due to its AI-powered conversational capabilities.

In the shared post, a screenshot of how the speaking practice feature works was shared in which the chatbot asked “I want to get in shape. What should I do” and the user must answer with a sentence that includes the words “exercise,” “heart” and “tired.” This will help users understand how to use different words in English. .
