Officials said that a goods train traveling from Jammu to Punjab to Punjab took place in Jammu and Kashmir (JK) after heavy rains and a landslide on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred near Lakhanpur area of Kathua, which fell on the railway track after debris by a landslide.
A railway trackman Ram Bahadur said, “Due to rain, a landslide occurred, and all came on the track. As a result, the train derailed.”
On receiving the information, the railway officials reached the spot and started operations to clean the debris and restore the train movement on the affected route.
