"Good news but delicate": Israel-Iran ceasefire on the leading Kalas of European Union Foreign Policy

The declaration of ceasefire between Israel and Iran has been described as “good news” by Kaja Kallas, a high representative of the European Union and Deputy Chairman of the European Commission for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, who said that it was the moment when all the parties return to the table of the matter “.

In a series of posts on X on Tuesday, the European Union Foreign Policy Head urged all the parties who were involved in the struggle in the region to avoid further violence and avoid growth.

Kalas said, “The announcement announced in fighting between Israel and Iran is good news, but it is delicate. All the parties should stand on it and avoid further violence. Avoid moving forward,” Kallas said, “Kallas said that highlighting the uncertain nature of the ceasefire.

He said, “The European Union stands in solidarity with all the people affected last night. This is a moment to return to the conversation table. Let it be a significant turn for the entire region. I will continue to work with all the sides towards this end,” he said.

It came after US President Trump, in early Tuesday, announced a ceasefire agreement between two conflict countries after the Iran’s attack on US military bases in Qatar and Iran in response to US attacks on its nuclear facilities.

However, after the announcement, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched a limited strike on the installation of an Iranian radar in the north of Tehran, after which Iran launched two ballistic missiles in Israel, as reported by the Times of Israel.

Trump expressed his strong rejection about Israel and Iran, “violating the ceasefire”, he announced, and said that the two countries are “fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what they are doing.”

Shortly thereafter, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that after a conversation between Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel has “abstained” from further attacks on Iran.

This came after a series of increasing military functions in the region when Israel initially carried out coordinated attacks against the Iranian atomic and military sites on 13 June.

Subsequently, Iran retaliated with attacks on Israeli military infrastructure, and the US joined the struggle with accurate attacks on Iran’s three major nuclear amenities – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. (AI)
