Go home after Friday’s prayer, avoid mob and protest, urge Maulana Razvi after Bareilly riots

Bareilly, 2 October (IANS) After the riots in Bareilly on 26 September, the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat Maulana Shahabuddin Rajavi Barelvi on Thursday issued a strong appeal for the Muslim community, so that people can be urged to return home after Friday prayers and should avoid joining any mob or protests.

Speaking to IANS, Maulana Razvi said: “The incident on last Friday is deeply regained. Friday’s prayer will be re -held tomorrow, and I appeal to all Muslims to return to their homes later.

Maulana also directed a message to the mosque Imams, urging them to stay away from political influence.

“Some mosques have joined the Imam politics. It’s time for them to reflect their relationship with political figures and reduce their relationships,” he said.

He said, “I urge all the Imams to promote peace and harmony during their teachings. In the light of the political atmosphere in Bareilly, they should encourage the youth to incite or encourage. If a person or organization invites them to join a meeting, they should avoid leaving,” they said.

Maulana Razvi insisted that true love for the Prophet of Islam lies in following his teachings.

“Love to love the Prophet is part of our belief, but not only love to display posters and banners. The Prophet never adopted a confrontation approach, but always resolved issues through dialogue,” he said.

He cited the example of Sulah Hudabia – a historic peace agreement in Islamic history – as a model to solve conflicts through compromise rather than confrontation.

“I appeal to all Muslims to maintain peace and harmony,” he said.
