GMC Srinagar first hosts national emergency life aid training

Srinagar, 14 August: Government Medical College (GMC) Hosted for Trainers (TOT) program for the program for the course of Srinagar, Emergency Medical Department, JPNATC, AIIMS, New Delhi, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Welfare of the Disaster Management Cell, Health and Family, Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

A three-day workshop held from 12-14 August 2025 in GMC Srinagar, GMC Srinagar, Associated Hospitals and Health Services brought 24 senior doctors and nursing observers of Kashmir. These medical professionals were trained and certified in the nails course, increasing their skills in emergency medical care.

Dr. Rakesh Cool, Head of the Department, Medical; Faculty Member, Medical Superintendent, SMHS Hospital, DY. Medical Officer of MS, GMC Srinagar, GMC Srinagar and Associated Hospitals

The initiative is an important milestone in strengthening emergency medical services in Jammu and Kashmir, which aligns with the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to improve healthcare infrastructure and services across the country.

The training program was made possible through Emergency Medical Department, JPNATC, AIIMS New Delhi, who WHO WHO WHO WHO WHO WHOLABORAITING Center for EmereaEMY and Truma Care, and Disaster Management Cells, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Allied efforts of government hospitals.

JPN Apex Trauma Center AIIMS New Delhi’s Course Faculty, Dr. Ankit, Dr. Charu, Dr. Soreresh and Dr. Hannah was who operated the structured workshop with great enthusiasm.

After the workshop, a churning session was held after a churning session at the level of the medical community with renewed enthusiasm about settings and coordination between various stakeholders to distribute and increase our attitude towards disaster and trauma management.
