“If Pakistan or the US are conducting nuclear tests, let them do it,” Singh told CNN-News18’s Rahul Joshi in an interview.
He further said, “We will take the right steps at the right time.” He further said that India has proved that if necessary, the army will enter the area and give a strong response. ,There will be people entering the house,
The response comes after President Trump announced that the United States would resume testing nuclear weapons through conventional methods. He also alleged that countries including Russia, China, North Korea and Pakistan were conducting similar tests.
While Pakistan has denied these claims, India’s reaction assumes significance in light of the recent Operation Sindoor against its western neighbour, which lasted for four days from May 7 to 10.
Operation Sindoor
India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ was a strategic and deliberate air strike conducted by the Indian Air Force on the morning of 7 May in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives.
India says its strikes targeted only terrorist camps and bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In retaliation, Pakistan launched drone and missile strikes towards India and made threats of nuclear strikes on Indian cities – threats strongly rejected by New Delhi.
No mediation, said Rajnath Singh
Speaking on Operation Sindoor, Rajnath Singh denied the involvement and mediation of any other country in stopping the military action.
The Defense Minister said, “Pakistan DGMO was asking to stop the conflict. Whatever we had to do, we did. If needed, we will do Operation Sindoor again. It is on pause now.”
“We did not stop Operation Sindoor because of pressure from anyone,” he said. “Trump is saying whatever he wants to say. Yet he signed a recent agreement with us.”
The Defense Minister further stated that India does not believe in confrontation but “if anyone troubles us we will not leave.”
