A Georgia judge Arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly driving under the influence after a fender bender in a parking lot Florida strip club,
Superior Court Judge Robert “Bert” Guy Jr., president of Georgia’s Council of Superior Court Judges, is accused of hitting a Ford F-150 while backing up his Mercedes-Benz in the parking lot of the Gentlemen’s Club of Waco in Jacksonville.
According to the arrest report received from Floridathis Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The incident happened around 3 in the morning
Witnesses said Guy got out of his sedan and talked briefly truckThe driver, and then tried to drive away. However, he seemed “highly intoxicated” and was unable to do so, prompting a parking attendant and another patron to help him back into the parking space.
Guy was then taken back inside the club, where he handed over his car keys and cellphone to staff members.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found that Guy smelled strongly of alcohol, seemed confused, and was slurring his words.
He reportedly insisted he did not have his keys and told officers he could not remember whether he was driving the vehicle when the damage occurred.
He reportedly refused to provide his ID and offered the truck driver $500 to settle the loss without involving authorities.
Guy was arrested at the scene and charged best and DUI-property damage. He later refused to submit to a breathalyzer test, resulting in additional charges.
Following his release on $3,000 bond, Guy self-reported his arrest to Georgia’s judicial oversight body, the Judicial Qualifications Commission. JQC director Courtney Veal confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
Guy has hired a lawyer in Florida to handle the legal proceedings.
As Chairman of the Council of Superior Court Judges, Guy represents the group during Georgia’s legislative sessions and serves as a member of the Judicial Council of Georgia. She was first elected as a Superior Court judge in 2016 and presides over cases in the five-county Brunswick Judicial Circuit.
