Geordie Shore Star Holly Hagen has said her sister Darcey has died at the age of 19.
Hagen, 33, who rose to fame on the MTV reality show in 2011, did not share the cause of death, but said in a statement that she and her family were “devastated” by the loss.
“I hope the last four days have been something no family ever has to go through,” Hagen wrote on Instagram. “We are shocked in every sense of the word.”
Hagen said that his sister “died surrounded by family and my best friends holding my hand” and thanked the intensive care unit (ICU) staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital.
“It’s because of all of you that we got to hold her hand, caress her hair and feel her heartbeat for the last time,” he said.
Sharing memories of her sister, Hagen said Darcey was “so beautiful”, and that she was “the best aunt” to her two-year-old son Alpha-Jacques, who she shares with her footballer husband Jacob Blyth.
He said Darcy had wanted to pursue a career in social work to help children.
“All I know is that she’s out there taking care of all the kids,” Hagen wrote. She also said that she would cherish the memories of playing with her son on Darcy’s birthday.
“I don’t know if I’m behaving the way I thought I would while grieving,” the reality star reflected, “but I really feel like she’s given me a lot of strength and she’s been watching over all of us as our guardian angel.”
“We love you so much baby girl. Forever 19,” Hagen wrote.

“Goodnight baby girl, you are and have always been deeply loved,” Hagen wrote on social media.
