General-Z supports nationalist ideology: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on ABVP’s victory in DU Pol

Jaipur, 20 September (IANS) Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Saturday welcomed the victory of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the Delhi University Students Union (Dasu) elections, stating that the results show that the youth of India have supported nationality and development politics.

He emphasized that while the BJP and ABVP are not directly associated with the organization, they are united with a strong and progressive India’s shared point of view.

Recently commenting on DUSU elections, where ABVP won three major positions, Union Minister Shekhawat said that the result reflects ideological alignment with the nationalist and development-centered values ​​of today’s youth.

He said, “BJP has no direct organizational link with ABVP, but we share the same ideological commitment for a strong and developed India,” he said.

“This is not just a student election victory – this is a statement by the youth in support of the progress of the nation.”

He said that the widespread difference of victory of ABVP indicates growing support for those who work in the national interest, which unlike “confusion, challenges constitutional institutions, and weaken democratic clothes”.

“This result reflects the mentality of the youth – the future – the unique, based in national values, and determined to take the country forward,” he said.

The minister also strongly criticized the Congress, stating that the language used by its leaders is a reflection of political culture that he has inherited from his current leadership.

He was responding to the derogatory remarks made by the President of the Jodhpur District Congress, which targets the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Union (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing the media after a public hearing at his residence, the Union Minister said that such statements go against the values ​​inherent in the Constitution.

“Babasaheb Ambedkar never supported such rhetoric. Mahatma Gandhi, who laid the foundation of our democracy, stood for restraint – in both action and speech. Unfortunately, those who call on the names of Ambedkar and Gandhi, leave their principles in practice today,” Shekhawat commented today.

“This pattern of aggression and indecency in public discourse is not new to the Congress. It is a legacy passed by his current leadership,” he said.

The Union Minister also appreciated Congress leader Supersh Bhandari for publicly condemning the comments made by the District President of the Grand Old Party.

He said, “His call for forgiveness and in the context of ‘Kshama Veerasya Bhushan’ (is the ornamentation of Kshama brave) is a courageous and commendable gesture,” he said.

“We also have the ability to retaliate, but our leadership has never encouraged such political culture,” Gajendra Singh Shekhawat insisted.

He said, “The Congress party should introspect. If it fails to do so, the public will definitely react to the ballot box,” he said.
