India said on Saturday that Pakistan has violated understanding between the DGMOs of the two countries on the first day of firing and military action and the Indian Army is retaliating and is dealing with border infiltration.
In a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that it is a violation of earlier understanding and India takes “a very serious note of these violations”.
India called upon Pakistan to address these violations and take appropriate steps to deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility.
Misri said that India’s armed forces have been instructed to forcefully deal with the international border with any example of repetition of border violations along the Line of Control.
“For the last few hours, the directors of the military operations of India and Pakistan have already been repeated the understanding of the earlier understanding. It is a violation of an incoming understanding today. The armed forces are giving sufficient and appropriate response to these violations and we take very serious notes of these violations,” said Missary.
He said, “We ask Pakistan to address these violations and take appropriate steps to deal with the situation with severity and responsibility. The armed forces are maintaining a strong vigilance on the situation. They have been instructed to deal with any example of repetition of violations of the border along with the line of control along the international border.” (AI)
