Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the theme ‘Energy Security: Diversification, Technology and Infrastructure the G7 outreach session to ensure access and strength in the changing world.
He focused on India’s novel approach to being human being human being and highlighted 4As, which makes India’s vision pillars towards energy security, the Ministry of External Affairs noted in a statement on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Canadian Prime Minister Mark Karney for the invitation and congratulated G7 for marking 50 years of his visit. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted that energy security was one of the major challenges faced by future generations.
Focusing on 4As, Mea said in its statement that in detail India’s commitment to inclusive development, PM Modi said that availability, access, strength and acceptance were the principles that underlined India’s approach to energy security.
He further emphasized that even though India is the fastest growing major economy in the world, it has successfully fulfilled its Paris commitments ahead of time.
At the summit, the PM also mentioned the challenges created by new technologies.
PM Modi spoke on Nexus between technology, AI and energy. Given that AI has become an important tool to promote efficiency and innovation, technology itself is energy-intensive, and it was important to make a strategy as to make it durable through a clean and green initiative.
In detail on India’s human-focused approach to promote technology, he said that any technology would have to bring value for the lives of common people to be effective. He suggested that addressing the issues of global rule related to AI was important to deal with AI’s concerns and promote innovation in the region.
He underlined that at the age of AI, it was important to have a safe and flexible supply chain of vital minerals. The Prime Minister further stated that quality and diverse data, which is ignorant in India, is important for AI, the Ministry of External Affairs has noted in its statement.
Thus, PM Modi insisted that a technology -led world asks for close cooperation between countries to realize a permanent future, and to achieve it, people and planets must be placed at the center of progress.
While showing about the commitment of the world India for a permanent and green future, PM Modi said that India has taken several global initiatives such as International Solar Alliance, Alliance for Disaster Regiment Infrastructure, Global Biofuel Alliance, Mission Life and One Sun-One World- a grid, and to pursue them.
