Full list of Bihar cabinet ministers 2025: Only three women in Nitish Kumar’s new government

Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time on Thursday, November 20. Apart from them, 26 NDA leaders also took oath as cabinet ministers, but only three women could make it to Kumar’s new term.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and many other leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony.

While after Nitish, BJP’s Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took oath, several other NDA leaders also took oath and were included in the Bihar Cabinet. However, only three women leaders – Leshi Singh, Shreyashi Singh and Rama Nishad – made the list.

Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the leaders.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) registered a landslide victory in the recently held Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 by winning 202 seats out of total 243 constituencies.

BJP emerged as the largest party with 89 seats, while JDU stood second with 85 seats. Other parties in the alliance like LJP, HAM and RLM managed to secure 19, 5 and 4 seats respectively.
