Ayushi Dabas, SDM, Vasant Vihar, Delhi, today stands as a shining example for those who believe that hard work and belief can turn dreams into reality. He is not only an inspiration for thousands of people but also a source of inspiration for millions of people. For all those who believe that courage and perseverance can overcome any obstacle, Aayushi is the living embodiment of hope.

Blind since childhood, Ayushi never let her disability define her. Recently, he won ₹25 lakh in the popular television show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) – a win that reaffirmed his belief that self-confidence is a person’s greatest strength.

A mother’s dream, a daughter’s victory

Ayushi fondly recalls that it was her mother who first dreamed of coming to KBC. Whenever they watched the show together, her mother would say, “One day, we’ll be there too.” When open auditions were held in Delhi on 31 May, his mother encouraged him, saying, “Let’s try it.”

Luck favored him. Ayushi was selected for the Fastest Finger first round and soon found herself on the hot seat – the moment when her mother’s long-cherished dream finally came true.

From teacher to IAS officer

Aayushi’s professional journey began in a classroom. She first taught the alphabet to children as a primary school teacher and later became a history lecturer. While teaching, he realized his deeper calling – to serve the society at large. With the unwavering support of her family and her tireless hard work, Ayushi passed the UPSC exam in 2022 and achieved the rank of IAS officer.

turning challenges into strengths

Aayushi’s path was not without struggles. Studying as a visually impaired student was never easy. She relied on audiobooks, learned to operate a laptop, and mastered screen-reading tools. But she calls her success a “team effort.” His entire family stood by him – his brother taught him digital skills, and his parents motivated him to tackle every challenge.

a lasting message of inspiration

Aayushi’s message to everyone is simple but profound:

“Believe in yourself and recognize your potential. Education is the most powerful tool – it earns us respect, understanding and the ability to shape our own destiny.”

Through her journey, Ayushi Dabas reminds us all that with courage, faith and education, no dream is too far and no challenge is too big.
